Lana Way
Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
This is the short version, because there is not much to tell. I collect one thing — your email address — and only if you give it to me.
Who I am
This site is run by Lana Way, in the United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the information described here. You can reach me at hello@lanawaybooks.com.
What I collect and why
- Your email address, when you ask for the free bonuses that come with one of my books. I use it to send you the confirmation link and the files.
- Whether you ticked the box asking for my monthly email, with the date, time and page you were on. I keep this as a record that you agreed, which UK law requires me to be able to show.
- Your IP address at the moment you submitted the form, stored by my email provider with that same record, for the same reason.
- Which book’s bonuses you asked for, so I send you the right files and don’t write to you about a book you don’t have.
- Anything you write to me by email, kept in my mailbox so I can reply.
I do not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies on this site. The fonts are served from this site itself, so your browser does not contact anyone else when you visit.
The legal basis
Consent. You give me your address to receive the files, and separately you may tick a box to receive the monthly email. The files arrive whether or not you tick it. You can withdraw either at any time.
Who else sees it
- Kit (kit.com) stores the mailing list and sends the emails on my behalf. Kit is based in the United States and protects the data under standard contractual safeguards.
- Cloudflare hosts this site and routes mail sent to my address.
I never sell, rent or share your address with anyone else.
How long I keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. If you write to me, I keep the conversation only as long as it is useful for helping you.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can stop the emails at any time. Write to hello@lanawaybooks.com and I will reply within a month. If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
